Support Assistant Level 2

Gosforth Park First School

 The Governors of Gosforth Park First School wish to appoint a Support Assistant Level 2 (N3) for September 2022. This post is initially a one year fixed term contract from 5th September 2022 until 21st July 2023, term time only (plus 3 training days) for 12 hrs per week as follows

  • Wednesday 8:45 – 11:45 or 10:45 – 1:45 (alternating weeks)
  • Thursday 8:45 – 1:15
  • Friday 8:45 – 1:15

This post is suitable for either experienced or newly qualified Support Assistants.

Candidates must have the following:

Knowledge of or be willing to undertake training in:
The principles of child development and learning processes.
The national/foundation stage curriculum

Teaching of systematic, synthetic phonics


Good numeracy/literacy skills with GCSE or equivalent qualifications at Level2.

Working with First School aged children.

The application process will involve an observation and an interview. Tasks and interviews will be held during the week beginning 23rd June.
