To our prospective parents,

Thank you for considering Gosforth Park First School for your child. We hope that our website and school brochure have given you an insight into what our school is like. We are very proud of our pupils, staff and school community and would be delighted to show you around and answer any questions you may have. Please contact the school office if you would like to attend an open event.

Please note that you must apply for a school place, even if your child attends the school nursery or if they have a brother or sister in our school. Neither of these factors guarantees a place in a Reception class. Your child will not be considered for a school place unless you submit an application form. Please check with the school office or with Newcastle City Council for the closing date for applications.

For Reception September 2027 Applications

Newcastle City Council will soon release the dates for when the applications open for applying to the Reception September 2027 intake.
Please keep an eye on this page for when the opening dates and deadlines are updated.

We will be hosting some visit dates for Parents interested in applying for our Reception 2027 intake:
These are group visits that last an hour, and are scheduled on these dates and times:

• Tuesday 6th October 5:00pm
• Tuesday 13th October 9:30am
• Tuesday 20th October 9:30am
• Wednesday 21st October 9:30am
• Wednesday 4th November 9:30am
• Tuesday 10th November 9:30am
• Wednesday 11th November 5:00pm
• Wednesday 18th November 5:00pm
