Curriculum Enhancements

We have lots of super exciting curriculum enhancements this term!

This week Year 4 are visiting GEMS to undertake some Food Technology Activities.

Friday 26th of June is our annual open day and this year our theme is Maths throughout the curriculum.

Dr Maths – Steve Humble – from Newcastle University will be working with parents and children in KS2. Cheryl Jackson, a wonderful artist from Northumberland, will be working with Early Years and KS1.

From the 6th July we are having a Sports Week! Here are a few of the activities planned so far

Early Years

  • The Tiny Dance Company
  • Skipping School
  • Multi-skills

KS1

  • Tennis
  • Skipping School
  • Active Healthy Lifestyle

KS2

  • Multi-skills
  • Zumba
  • Swimming

In addition to this, each day we will be walking, hopping, skipping or running 1 mile! At the end of the week the whole school will be completing this Golden Mile together.

As part of their Pirate Topic KS1 are having a visit from Captain Raggy Beard on Wednesday 15th July – many thanks to The Friends of Gosforth Park who have kindly funded this visit!
